Glen Powell once again proves his talent for impersonations in Hulu’s comedy‑sports series Chad Powers.

Co‑created by Powell and Michael Waldron, the show follows former star quarterback Russ Holliday, whose career implodes during a college championship game. Determined to get back on the field, he undergoes a dramatic physical transformation and joins a struggling team under the alias Chad Powers.

Powell leads the cast, joined by Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie Rodriguez, Steve Zahn and Toby Huss.

Chad Powers premiered on Hulu in the United States in September 2025, with its second season set to launch on September 3, 2026.

As of late August 2026, Hulu has not yet confirmed a third season. The series’ fate will hinge largely on the performance of the upcoming second season, which will be released in its entirety on Disney+ in the United Kingdom on September 3, 2026.

Powell’s own schedule could also play a decisive role. The actor has several projects lined up for the next year, including Judd Apatow’s The Comeback King and J.J. Abrams’ The Great Beyond.

What have the creators said about a possible season 3?

In a conversation with Variety, series creators Glen Powell and Michael Waldron revealed that they have already outlined three seasons for Chad Powers.

“There’s a beginning, middle and end,” Powell explained. “I know how I want this thing to land for audiences. Sometimes it’s just not saying, ‘Hey, we’re gonna drag this thing out until it can’t go anymore.’ We have a great mic drop for where this is all going.”
