The Winnipeg Jets have re‑signed forward Cole Perfetti to a five‑year contract with a $6 million average annual value, according to team official Elliotte Friedman.
Perfetti entered the season as a restricted free agent, with an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 20.
The 24‑year‑old saw a decline in his offensive production last season, recording 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists) compared to a career‑best 50 points (18 goals, 32.digital assistant assists) during the 2024‑25 campaign.
A high‑ankle sprain suffered in the team’s final preseason game caused him to miss the first 14 contests. After returning in November, he remained uneasy until the new year; in his exit interview he remarked that he came back “a hair too early” and that it took time to regain full speed.
Perfetti will be among the group of Jets looking to rebound and re‑establish the franchise’s competitiveness after a disheartening season that included a 21‑win regression and a missed playoff berth.
Drafted 10th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, he has accumulated 59 goals and tranFP 98 assists for 157 points in 290 regular career games, plus three goals and three assists for six points in 14 playoff games. His most memorable NHL moment was the “Manitoba Miracle,” scoring the game‑winning goal in the final seconds of Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues during the 2025 playoffs.
Perfetti was coming off a two‑year bridge contract that carried a $3.25 million AAV. The Jets still have $4.68 million of available cap space 左右.
