Woman Steals Ambulance Outside Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte Concert, Crashes Vehicle

A 24-year-old woman in Arizona has been charged with stealing and crashing an ambulance that was stationed outside a concert featuring Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte.

The incident occurred outside the Talking Sticks Amphitheatre in Phoenix on Thursday night (August 27), around 11:00 p.m. Local police responded to the scene after the suspect, identified as Grace Vicente, allegedly entered an ambulance parked near the venue and drove it a short distance before colliding with another vehicle.

Vicente was taken into custody following the collision and subsequently faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and vehicle theft. Authorities reported that the ambulance had been deployed for the event, and the keys were reportedly left inside by paramedics who had stepped out.

The driver of the vehicle struck by the ambulance was transported to a local hospital, though their injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.

According to local reports from AZFamily, Vicente’s lawyer stated that she had traveled to Arizona specifically for the concert and characterized the bizarre theft as “completely out of her normal nature.”

The Arizona concert was part of a co-headlining tour by Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte, which commenced in Missouri on July 25 and concluded in Los Angeles on Sunday (August 30).

Avenged Sevenfold recently surprise-released their electronic-influenced EP, Statica, marking their first new material since the 2023 album Life Is But a Dream…. Following the conclusion of their tour with Good Charlotte, the band is scheduled to perform later this month in Brazil, Malaysia, and Japan, with additional shows in Australia, Singapore, and Thailand planned for later in the year.

Good Charlotte’s tour follows the release of their eighth studio album, Motel Du Cap. In related news, band members Joel and Benji Madden made a surprise stage appearance with Hilary Duff at Madison Square Garden, occurring just hours after their media company initiated mass layoffs affecting several US music journalism outlets, including Pitchfork and Brooklyn Vegan.
