WWE AAA TripleMania 34 is scheduled as a two-night event, with Friday’s premium live event taking place in Las Vegas on September 11.
The card features several major title defenses and storyline matches, with results that could significantly reshape Lucha Libre AAA before Sunday’s Mexico City main event.
Here are the potential spoilers and projected results for TripleMania 34 Friday.
AAA World Trios Championship: Psycho Circus (Dave The Clown, Murder Clown & Panic Clown) (c) vs. Los Perros Del Mal (Daga, Angel & Berto)
Los Perros Del Mal returned to AAA on the June 20 episode of AAA on FOX.
Their attack on El Grande Americano made it clear that the group had arrived with a championship agenda.
Under Daga’s leadership, Los Perros Del Mal have overwhelmed much of the AAA roster.
After making an immediate impact, Daga, Angel, Berto and Karmen Petrovic are now pursuing another piece of gold.
TripleMania 34 Friday gives them that opportunity in Las Vegas.
Los Perros Del Mal will challenge Los Psycho Circus for the AAA World Trios Championship.
Given their momentum, a title win would be a logical next step for the group.
Prediction: Los Perros Del Mal
Betting odds: Los Perros Del Mal
Mini Vikingo, Adelicious & Mascarita Sagrada vs. Jack Cartwheel, Lady Shani & Mini Abismo Negro
Friday’s card also includes a mixed trios match featuring several established AAA performers.
Mini Vikingo, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada will face Jack Cartwheel, Lady Shani and Mini Abismo Negro.
Although the match does not center on one dominant storyline, it draws on several established rivalries.
Cartwheel and Vikingo are scheduled to face Rey Fenix and Nathan Frazer for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship at TripleMania 34 Sunday in Mexico City.
Meanwhile, Mascarita Sagrada and Mini Abismo Negro have a long-running feud.
The addition of Adelicious and Lady Shani should make the six-person match even more competitive.
With Sagrada holding a historical edge over Mini Abismo Negro, his team is the projected winner.
Prediction: Mini Vikingo, Adelicious & Mascarita Sagrada
Four-Way Tag Team Match: Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) vs. Tokyo Bad Boys (Kento & Nobu San) vs. LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) vs. Los Americanos (Bravo & Rayo Americano)
The Lucha Libre AAA tag-team division has become increasingly competitive.
Although The War Raiders defend the AAA World Tag Team Championships at TripleMania 34 Sunday, Friday’s four-way match will feature another group chasing gold.
Fraxiom will face The Tokyo Bad Boys, LWO and Los Americanos.
Each team will be trying to establish itself as the next legitimate title contender.
Fraxiom is currently the most established team in WWE, but Los Americanos have recently made their championship ambitions clear.
With stablemate El Grande Americano set to challenge for the AAA Mega Title on Sunday, Bravo and Rayo can boost his momentum with a victory on Friday.
Prediction: Los Americanos
Betting odds: Fraxiom
AAA Reina de Reinas Championship #1 Contender’s Fatal Four-Way: Roxanne Perez vs. Faby Apache vs. La Hiedra vs. Nattie
A new number-one contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship will be crowned on Friday.
In Las Vegas, Roxanne Perez will face Nattie, Faby Apache and La Hiedra for the opportunity.
On Sunday in Mexico City, Flammer will defend the AAA Reina de Reinas Title against La Catalina.
Every wrestler in Friday’s fatal four-way has a strong incentive to secure that title shot.
Of the contenders, Roxanne Perez is currently the most prominent name on WWE television.
“The Prodigy” enters the match as the favorite to emerge as the new number-one contender.
Prediction: Roxanne Perez
Betting odds: Nattie
AAA Latin American Championship: La Parka (c) vs. Laredo Kid vs. Mr. Iguana
La Parka captured the AAA Latin American Championship by defeating El Fiscal, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Damian Priest at AAA Ola de Calor.
He will begin his reign by defending the title in a triple-threat match at TripleMania 34.
On Friday in Las Vegas, Parka will face Laredo Kid and his best friend, Mr. Iguana.
After losing the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships to Laredo Kid and La Hiedra, Iguana has remained undefeated.
Iguana subsequently approached AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio and requested a TripleMania 34 opportunity.
Mysterio asked whether Iguana was willing to compete against his best friend for the championship, and Iguana agreed.
Laredo Kid has also built momentum following his victory with La Hiedra in the AAA Mixed Tag Team division.
With Parka only beginning his reign, he is favored to retain the title.
Prediction: La Parka
Betting odds: La Parka
Rey Mysterio vs. Omos — If Omos Wins, He Is Reinstated; If Mysterio Wins, Omos Is Fired From AAA
Omos and Galeno’s singles match on the August 15 edition of AAA on FOX ended in a no contest.
Omos attacked Galeno with steel steps and could not be stopped by officials.
That prompted AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio to enter the ring and restore order.
When Omos also attacked Mysterio, the general manager suspended him.
During Omos’s absence, El Ojo’s Dorian Roldan and Dominik Mysterio tried to convince Rey to reinstate “The Nigerian Giant.”
Omos later appeared with a ticket to AAA Ola de Calor, where he confronted Mysterio and continued taunting him.
Rey attacked Omos, escalating the confrontation into a brawl involving Dominik and El Grande Americano.
The incident ultimately led the AAA general manager to challenge Omos to a singles match at TripleMania 34.
If Omos wins, he will be reinstated; if he loses, he will be fired from AAA permanently.
With so much at stake, this will be the defining match on Friday’s card.
Omos’s overwhelming physical advantage makes him the likely winner and the man reinstated.
Prediction: Omos
Betting odds: Omos
