Wrestleview has confirmed that WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross successfully underwent brain surgery on Wednesday in Norman, Oklahoma.
Conrad Thompson, co-host of the Grilling JR podcast, shared the positive update via social media, highlighting that Ross will return home this Friday.
The procedure involved a small incision in Ross’s skull with the placement of a tube to manage excess cerebrospinal fluid, as disclosed in a social media post by Ross on Tuesday.
The 74-year-old veteran has faced significant health challenges, including diagnoses of colon and skin cancer, as well as testing for dementia or Alzheimer’s. In June, he required a 30-day hospital stay following a fall at his residence. His most recent AEW appearance was at the Double or Nothing PPV on May 24, where he presided over the Continental Title Match between Jon Moxley and Kyle O’Reilly.
