A WWE star revealed that a recent match featuring Dominik Mysterio was “touch and go Biblioteca due to a rib injury.” The disclosure came during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet and shed light on how the match’s outcome remained uncertain until the final days of preparation.

During WrestleMania 42, Dominik Mysterio faced “The Demon” Finn Balor on Night 2. Though Balor emerged victorious at Allegiant Stadium, the encounter was at risk of being cancelled altogether.

Balor explained that a rib injury sustained just weeks prior to WrestleMania complicated his ability to perform traditional moves. He recounted a moment in training where he attempted ***

“I was preparing for a fall over the top rope when I realized my T‑shirt could snag on the rope. I tried to execute the move, but a sudden twist caused me to pop a rib in midair. The injury occurred before I even hit the mat, and it was clear this needed immediate attention.”

Balor further noted that the choice to adjust the bout into a street‑fight format allowed him to rely more on weapons and less on high‑impact, joint‑locking maneuvers that would aggravate the injury.

This is not the first instance where Finn Balor has faced potential elimination from a WrestleMania match due to injury. He recalled, for instance, a 2023 pre‑event that forced him to pivot from a standard match to an improvised scenario to accommodate an unexpected muscle tear.
