Wyatt Miller’s Dramatic Roll‑Over at Bark River Ends With Him Driving Off

On Saturday afternoon at Bark River International Raceway, 14‑year‑old Wyatt Miller piloted a Pro Spec truck in the Championship Off‑Road Series.

Running third in the event, the grandson of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. (and nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr.) hit a rut on a fast right‑hand corner, causing his truck to flip. The No. 73 Chevrolet became airborne, rotated three times, and finally came to rest on its tires after expending all of its kinetic energy.

Wyatt quickly re‑engaged his damaged machine and drove away from the crash site. His mother, Kelley Earnhardt Miller, immediately drew a parallel to her father’s legendary resilience. Although he managed to keep the vehicle moving, the extensive damage relegated him to 15th place, the last position.

In 1997, Dale Earnhardt Sr. famously flipped during the Daytona 500. His iconic black No. 3 returned to the track on its wheels, and after confirming the car remained drivable, he drove it back to the pits. At one point he entered an ambulance but then re‑entered the car, refusing to abandon the effort.

“I experienced a bit of déjà vu today after (Wyatt) took a hard tumble at Bark River following a brake failure,” Kelley Earnhardt Miller posted after the incident. “Back on track tomorrow as Ryan Beat Motorsports works to rebuild the truck!”

She paired an impressive video — combining Wyatt’s Bark River rollover with footage of Dale Sr.’s 1997 Daytona 500 crash set to Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” — illustrating how Wyatt appears to have inherited his grandfather’s never‑quit attitude.
