Chinese President Xi Jinping has departed Washington, leaving a lasting visual legacy within the White House. At least two photographs featuring Xi alongside U.S. President Donald Trump remain displayed on the executive mansion’s walls.
One image captures a handshake between the two leaders, originally shown by Trump during last week’s state visit, while another portrays the presidents standing side by side before a Palm Room doorway. Journalist Jacqueline Alemany highlighted the doorway display on social media, also noting photographs of Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the same area.
The Xi photograph is mounted in an ornate gold frame against a white lattice-patterned wall, positioned beside an arched doorway and beneath a crystal chandelier. Both leaders face the camera with Chinese and American flags prominently displayed in the background.
