Building on their groundbreaking approach to gender expression in K-pop, four-member group XLOV has set a new personal best with their latest releases. Their second mini album I,God generated 224,291 physical copies in its opening week, according to Hanteo Chart data—a figure that nearly triples their previous career high.

The album launched with 30,428 copies sold on day one, establishing a new personal record. Sales accelerated throughout the tracking period, reaching 80,692 on day two and 67,281 on day three, before settling at 27,497 on day four. This represents consistent growth rather than front-loaded purchasing patterns typical in the industry.

The debut tracked significantly ahead of previous releases, with day-one sales exceeding their former record holder UXLXVE by over 6,000 units. Early figures from the group’s debut era typically remained in the single-digit thousands, highlighting the substantial growth in their fanbase.

I,God features the lead single “SERVE” and continues XLOV’s chess-themed narrative world, which they describe as a “rebirth.” The EP maintains their signature dance-pop, house, and contemporary R&B sound, with leader Wumuti serving as producer across most tracks, while members Hyun and Haru contributed as composers and lyricists. The release also marks their first unit songs—”Extancy” featuring Wumuti and Rui, and “HIPS” performed by Hyun and Haru.

Critical reception has been strong, with the “SERVE” music video earning additional attention through a cameo appearance by actress Han Sohee, who has over 16 million Instagram followers. Her involvement in the video connected her with XLOV and led to expressions of interest in future collaborations.

XLOV consists of 26-year-old Wumuti (Uyghur-Chinese), 25-year-old Rui (Taiwanese), 23-year-old Hyun (Korean), and 20-year-old Haru (Japanese). The group debuted in January 2025 under 257 Entertainment before being acquired by WM Entertainment—a subsidiary of RBW Inc.—earlier this year, making them labelmates with Oh My Girl.

Their androgynous concept, introduced at debut, positions them as pioneers of gender-neutral expression in K-pop. While not identifying as genderless individually, the members describe their artistic vision as celebrating “beauty without gender boundaries” through fashion and performance that challenges traditional gender roles. This approach has garnered international recognition from publications including the Hollywood Reporter, AV Club, PopMatters, Dazed, and Billboard Brazil.

XLOV’s touring schedule includes a 16-date European tour in early 2026, with upcoming North and Latin American dates planned for later this year. Prior to their international expansion, they’ll host fan meeting events titled “The Runway” in New York on July 4 and Los Angeles on July 11, serving as a precursor to their North American tour.
