Alabama Ends Contract with Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. Following Doxxing and Harassment Allegations
Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. has been dismissed from the team after an arrest on Friday for doxxing and making harassing communications with a police officer.
According to Coach Kalen DeBoer, the announcement was made on Tuesday via ESPN’s Alex Scarborough. Kirkpatrick Jr. was already suspended before Saturday’s matchup against Texas A&M due to the incidents. Prior to this, he had faced a 2025 arrest for reckless endangerment, resulting in a suspension in October of the same year. Consequently, he did not play in the previous season.
Further details include allegations that Kirkpatrick Jr. texted the police officer with the phrase “text me back don’t be no bitch!” and posted a photo of the officer and his family on Facebook.
“After gathering more information on the situation, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. will no longer be a part of our program,” DeBoer stated. “He did not live up to the standards and expectations I have set for this team and our players.”
In addition to the recent charges, Kirkpatrick Jr. is facing a misdemeanor count from June 2026 for leaving the scene of an accident.
Dre Kirkpatrick Sr. was a first-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Bengals and spent a decade playing in the league with Cincinnati, Arizona, and San Francisco. Kirkpatrick Jr., who served as a second-string defensive back, joined Alabama in 2024.
