Phoebe Bridgers continues to make headlines following yesterday’s reveal of *Lost Weekend*, her first solo album in six years. She has now released “Lost Boys,” the album’s lead single and her first solo track in four years. The accompanying music video, directed by Lance Oppenheim and Pablo Rochat, features Bridgers as an elf amidst knights in a Renaissance‑themed video‑game world.
On “Lost Boys,” Bridgers enlists an impressive roster of collaborators: Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Caroline Shaw contribute vocals; Alex G handles drums and a voice memo; Jack Antonoff plays electric guitar, synths, drums, and vocoder; Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes adds trumpets; Blake Mills brings synths; Chris Thile offers mandolin; and Christian Lee Hutson layers acoustic guitar, among others. The track was produced by Bridgers, Tony Berg, Ethan Gruska, and Antonoff, with extra production from Alex G.
Her follow‑up to *Punisher* is slated for release on August 14 through Dead Oceans, arriving a month before she embarks on the Lost Tour. The record comes after her work with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker in Boygenius; just prior to the trio’s 2023 reunion, Bridgers shared her final solo effort—a charitable rendition of the Handsome Family’s holiday tune “So Much Wine.”
To promote the upcoming album, Bridgers staged a series of surprise pop‑up performances, one of which took place at Madison Square Garden. Each show enforced a strict no‑phones rule, including the stadium appearance, to keep footage from leaking online. Additionally, she is slated to appear in *Primetime*, a new A24 film starring Robert Pattinson that examines Chris Hansen’s notorious 2000s television series *To Catch a Predator*.
