During the Night of Champions 2026 pay-per-view event held on June 27 in Saudi Arabia, an obvious AI-generated error appeared on a promotional graphic aired during the broadcast. The mistake occurred on a graphic announcing the upcoming WWE Women’s World Championship match between IYO SKY and Liv Morgan at SummerSlam 2026. The championship bout was set following SKY’s victory in the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament, which earned her a title shot against Morgan at “The Biggest Party of the Summer.”
Fans quickly identified a glaring typographical error within the image. Rather than correctly displaying “WWE SummerSlam: Minnesota,” the graphic mistakenly read “WWE SummerSlam: Memory Bota.”
The blunder quickly went viral on social media, serving as a prominent example of the risks involved when companies rely on AI-generated assets without rigorous quality control and manual proofreading. While the error was relatively minor, the oversight became an unexpected distraction during the broadcast, highlighting the ongoing challenges of integrating automated design tools into professional television production.
