Trois-Rivières, Quebec – The Trois-Rivières Lions, an ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, have announced that defenseman Jake Gravelle will return for the 2026‑27 season.
Gravelle joined the Lions on February 5 during the 2025‑26 campaign after playing 28 games with the Guildford Flames of the Elite Ice Hockey League. In 26 games with Trois-Rivières, the 26‑year‑old recorded nine points (3 goals, 6 assists) and posted a plus‑13 rating.
A native of Callander, Ontario, Gravelle spent four seasons with the University of Western Ontario, compiling 74 points (17 goals, 57 assists) in 84 collegiate games. He was named OUA West Division Defenceman of the Year in 2022‑23 and earned a spot on the OUA West Division Second All‑Star Team during the 2024‑25 season.
Gravelle’s junior career was also spent in Ontario, where he played for the Mississauga Steelheads and Hamilton Bulldogs in the Ontario Hockey League. Across 130 OHL games, he logged 38 points (7 goals, 31 assists) and 117 penalty minutes.
