- A September 15 launch date has been claimed for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Diablo 4
- The “Age of Hatred Collection” will reportedly bundle the base game and both major expansions, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred
- A physical retail copy will provide game access via digital code included in the packaging
The highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 port of Diablo 4 could launch shortly after BlizzCon 2026, according to leaker Billbil-kun. The French gaming outlet Dealabs reported via Resetera that the action RPG is set to arrive on Nintendo’s next-generation console on September 15, nearly three years following its initial release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC. The timing places the game’s debut two days after the conclusion of BlizzCon’s September 12-13 event.
The expanded edition will be branded as the “Age of Hatred Collection,” combining the core game with its two largest narrative expansions. This collection is reported to launch at a price point of $69.99 / £62.99 / €69.99, positioning it as a premium retail offering. Pre-orders are anticipated to begin simultaneously with BlizzCon’s opening on September 12, with physical copies reportedly replacing traditional cartridges with a boxed digital activation code.
While a specific announcement window remains unconfirmed, Billbil-kun suggested potential reveals could occur at either Gamescom 2026 or during BlizzCon itself. Since Diablo 4’s 2023 release, the title has earned acclaim for its expansive open world, fluid combat system, and deep character customization, earning TechRadar Gaming’s five-star review for its “darkly compelling fantasy world” and engaging multiplayer mechanics.
