Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish is a transfer target for both Everton and Aston Villa, according to reports.
Fabrizio Romano says the two Premier League clubs have held discussions regarding a possible acquisition of Grealish, who is expected to make a final decision on his future within the coming days.
Romano also dismissed speculation linking Sunderland to a move for the England international, noting that no concrete negotiations are underway with the Wearside club.

In a post on X, Romano reiterated the exclusive, stating that Grealish is weighing his options and that Sunderland has not progressed beyond preliminary interest.
Grealish joined Manchester City from Aston Villa in 2021 and recently spent a loan spell at Everton, where he appeared to regain confidence. A return to Villa would represent a sentimental homecoming, while Everton could benefit from his creative flair.
Can Jack Grealish enjoy a late career swansong?
At 31, Grealish is approaching the latter stages of his career, yet his skill set remains compelling. Should a club provide the tactical freedom he thrives upon, he could still deliver impactful performances for the rest of the season.

Manchester City have rarely unlocked his full potential, but Grealish retains attributes that make him a worthwhile signing for clubs seeking creativity and dynamism.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, have endured a turbulent transfer window, losing key players. A reunion with Grealish could provide an immediate boost to the squad’s morale and playing quality.
In the right tactical environment, under a manager who grants him autonomy, Grealish could continue to light up Premier League matches for several more seasons. Everton supporters, nostalgic for his previous loan stint, are also eager to see him back. The final decision, expected shortly before the window closes, will shape the direction of both clubs.
