Clubs are required to register both a List A and a List B squad.
List A
This is the roster that was subject to the Wednesday evening deadline.
List A accommodates a maximum of 25 players and requires a minimum of eight locally trained individuals. Of these eight, a maximum of four may be association-trained rather than club-trained.
Failure to register the requisite eight locally-trained players results in a proportional reduction of the maximum squad size. For instance, registering only six locally-trained players reduces the maximum squad size to 23 players.
A minimum of two goalkeepers must be registered in List A, with at least three goalkeepers registered across both Lists A and B combined.
List B
The sole deadline for List B is that it must be submitted to UEFA no later than 23:59 CET on the day preceding the match.
There is no upper limit on the number of players that can be included on List B.
This list is designed to accommodate younger, junior members of a club’s squad.
To be eligible for List B, a player must meet the following criteria:
-
Were born on or after 1 January 2005
-
Have been eligible to play for the club for two consecutive years since turning 15
-
Or have been eligible to play for the club for three consecutive years, including a loan spell within the same association, since turning 15
Players who are 16 years old may also be included on List B provided they have been registered with the club uninterrupted for the preceding two years.
Players who transfer clubs following participation in any UEFA qualifying rounds or play-offs are eligible to represent their new club starting from the league phase.
