The country singer Bailey Zimmerman faced accusations of inflicting roughly $16,000 in damage at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, back in May. Those charges have now been officially dropped.
In a statement released to Rolling Stone on Wednesday, Zimmerman’s attorney confirmed the dismissal, noting that the singer “took immediate responsibility for his mistake.” The lawyer added, “We are grateful to the Pueblo of Sandia and the District Attorney’s Office for this just and swift resolution.”
Records previously obtained by Rolling Stone show that a June arrest warrant was issued for the 26‑year‑old after he allegedly left a hole in a hotel wall and shattered a telephone, among other damages. Zimmerman was charged with a fourth‑degree felony for criminal damage exceeding $1,000 and a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services.
The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office announced the case was dismissed after full restitution was made, as reported by KRQE.
The resolution followed a public apology from Zimmerman. In his statement, he expressed deep remorse, acknowledged full accountability, and extended apologies to the Pueblo of Sandia, the staff at Sandia Resort & Casino, and anyone who felt hurt or disrespected by his actions.
