Edinburgh-based investment manager Baillie Gifford has launched a dollar-denominated tokenized fixed-income fund in partnership with global custodian BNY, the firms announced on Monday.
The Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund (BAGEY) provides eligible investors with exposure to an actively managed short-duration portfolio of public corporate bonds through the Ethereum and Solana blockchains.
The fund operates via a UK-regulated Open-Ended Investment Company (OEIC), a collective investment structure that pools capital from multiple investors across fixed-income securities.
Offering an annual yield of approximately 7%, the fund is currently available to eligible investors in the UK, Switzerland, and Cayman Islands, subject to local regulatory requirements.
