Becky Lynch has offered her perspective on the career trajectories of emerging WWE wrestlers, cautioning against rapid achievement early in professional development.
During the 100th episode of the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Lynch shared her insights on why young WWE talent should focus on building their foundations before reaching major career milestones.
“I told one of the younger wrestlers recently—you don’t want to achieve too much right now. You want to let yourself develop, because if you reach the top so young, what’s left? You need to build toward it. You need to ensure the audience desires it and rallies behind you. Let them bring you there.”
Lynch reinforced her stance by referencing Chelsea Green’s championship journey, noting that the audience’s investment in her story made the victory meaningful.
“If you win a title now, you see others achieving success and you want the same for yourself. But it simply won’t feel as satisfying because there’s so much time ahead. Then you’re a one-time champion, two-time, three-time, four-time, and eventually the audience doesn’t want to see you become a six-time, seven-time, eight-time, nine-time, ten-time champion. But that’s how it unfolds.”
“The first time—like when Chelsea won the title—everyone reacts with genuine excitement. They feel happy because they witnessed her journey to that moment. Understanding your timing is crucial. Don’t rush. It will happen, if it’s meant to, when the moment is right.”
While most of the WWE roster consists of experienced veterans, several promising young wrestlers including Oba Femi, Tiffany Stratton, Sol Ruca, Je’Von Evans, Roxanne Perez, and others have already established themselves on the main roster.
Once a rising talent herself, Lynch, 39, has evolved into one of the industry’s most reliable veterans and a respected voice within the company.
