NFL Network ranked Cincinnati Bengals running back Jamal Haynes’ 39-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of the team’s preseason victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia as the No. 2 play among rookies during the NFL preseason, which concluded Aug. 29.
CBS color analyst Ross Tucker shared his thoughts on Haynes’ electrifying scamper to the end zone during the broadcast:
“I’m not exaggerating when I say that guy might’ve just made at least somebody’s practice squad by this run,” Tucker remarked. “That is an incredible run. Somebody’s gotta put him at least on their practice squad, right? After that run right there? Goodness gracious, Jamal!”
“There’s not a lot of 5-foot-7 guys in the NFL,” Tucker continued. “Good for him. He might’ve just changed his life right there. Man, I’m happy for him.”

Despite transitioning from wide receiver to running back during his time at Georgia Tech, Haynes finished his college career ranked eighth in Yellow Jackets history in rushing yards (2,534) and tied for 14th in rushing touchdowns with 21.
