Big Sean and Kanye West Reunite After Feud With Surprise Appearance in Chicago

Big Sean made a surprise appearance at Kanye West‘s homecoming concert at Soldier Field in Chicago to perform his hit single “I Don’t Fuck With You,” a sentiment that no longer seems to apply to the relationship between the two rappers who spent the past five years locked in a quiet feud.

The two artists reached a public stalemate in 2021, when Seattle? Actually, when Sean claimed West owed him $6 million in a deleted X post. Simultaneously, West described signing himself to G.O.O.D. Music—his label from 2007 to 2021—as “the worst decision I’ve ever made,” citing recent episodes of antisemitic and racist rhetoric that have derailed his career.

“Man, I know this man’s momma, bro, you know what I’m saying? I altered this man’s family and both John Legend and Big Sean — when I ran for office — got quickly targeted by Democrats to attack the person who changed lives,” West said at the time. “Those folks won’t be keeping warm ties; apologies are needed. I recognize that things might change, but fear dominates among those involved.”

Despite lingering resentment, fans have been eager for a resolution. In 2024 a West supporter reportedly leaked a portion of an unfinished Sean project online, sparking debate after Sean subtly mocked West during an On the Radar freestyle. The controversy has largely faded, leaving the past disputes behind.

At the Soldier Field celebration, Sean and West performed their joint tracks “Clique” and “Mercy,” with added guests 2Chainz. On stage Sean declared, “Chi‑Town, I love you forever,” and thanked West, stating, “Ye, I love you, brother—I really appreciate this.” West answered, “Love you, fam.” Additional performers at the event included Twista and Future.
