Cameron Boozer’s girlfriend, Yva Lauren Cao, provided fans with an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the forward’s NBA draft experience after he was selected third overall by the Memphis Grizzlies.
The University of Miami cheerleader celebrated Boozer’s selection with a series of Instagram posts documenting the memorable evening. “Memphis, you’re going to love him,” she captioned the collection featuring various moments from draft night.
Cao, who wore a striking low-back orange dress, captured candid moments including the couple sharing a warm embrace as Boozer’s name was called, and later, the pair holding hands while departing the event.
The couple also shared photos of themselves together at an afterparty, and in front of Boozer’s new Memphis locker sporting his rookie No. 27 jersey.
“Memphis just gained the best there is!!!” Cao wrote in an Instagram story. “So proud of you and beyond grateful to watch your dreams become reality. Your talent is undeniable, but who you are is what makes me proudest. I love you endlessly. This is only the beginning. Here we gooo.”

The pair, who have been together since high school and began dating in August 2023, attended prom together before both heading to college—Cao at Miami and Boozer at Duke. Their relationship blossomed alongside their individual successes, with both achieving early prominence in their respective fields.
While Boozer made headlines at Duke, averaging 22.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game en route to Elite Eight success, Cao supported from the sidelines and cheered at major games including the national championship against Indiana.
Boozer will now look to make an immediate impact with the Grizzlies, who finished 25-57 last season.
