China Pressures Israel to Cease and Reverse West Bank Settlement Build‑up

BEIJING — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has told Israeli President Isaac Herzog that Israel must halt and reverse its “forced establishment” of West Bank settlements, the Chinese foreign ministry announced Friday.

Wang made the remarks during a meeting with Herzog in Azerbaijan, reiterating China’s longstanding position that the Palestinian issue represents the greatest historical injustice of this century, the ministry added.
