Having joined the push‑cart community several years ago, I have enjoyed testing a variety of models. As someone who is not overly selective, I find that any improvement over my previous experience of dragging pull‑carts or carrying a bag on my back is a welcome upgrade.
My criteria for a quality push cart are simple: portability, maneuverability, and stability. Everything else is a bonus, which is why I am impressed with Clicgear’s new Model 4.5, which includes numerous premium features.
The Clicgear Model 4.5 includes a redesigned console featuring a sound‑amplifying phone holder and convenient charging cable access.
What I loved about the Clicgear Model 4.5 push cart
I have found that many push carts require separate purchases for accessories such as storage compartments and cup holders. The Clicgear Model 4.5, however, comes with several useful features included.
Storage
I frequently play on public courses without locker facilities, so I often carry my purse. Previously, I had nowhere to store it on a push cart and resorted to hanging it on my bag. The Model 4.5’s mesh compartment under the handle comfortably holds my small crossbody bag, and the plastic console with a latch lid can easily store a standard wallet and keys.
The integrated phone holder, designed to amplify sound, keeps the phone upright and secure — an especially useful feature for GPS app users during a round.
The cup holder is convenient, though it cannot comfortably fit my large insulated Stanley cup. In Arizona, where I reside, insulated cups are essential, so I may need to switch to a slimmer water bottle or use a disposable cup.
Although I do not use a handheld rangefinder, golfers who do will value the magnetic and hook‑and‑loop storage options on the console for quick access to their devices.
An umbrella holder attached to the handle is also included — a feature I have not yet used but may find valuable during the scorching Arizona summer.
Sturdy straps
While some players prefer bungee closures, I appreciate the secure fit provided by the thick silicone straps at both the top and bottom of the cart, which kept my bag firmly in place.
Movement, portability and adjustability
The Model 4.5 may seem intimidating at first, but the instructional video on the Clicgear website clarifies the three‑step unfolding and folding process. With practice, it becomes straightforward, and I recommend performing a few trials before taking it to the course.
Although the cart is not the smallest or lightest I have used, it feels sturdy and premium, and I appreciate the adjustable push handle that accommodates users of all heights — my grade‑school daughter can set it comfortably.
The three wheels roll smoothly, and the cart remains stable and not top‑heavy, even when the handle’s storage box and mesh compartment are filled with a purse and other items.
In summary, the Clicgear Model 4.5 is an excellent choice for walking golfers who need secure storage for accessories and gadgets, and who desire a sturdy, foldable cart that fits easily into a trunk.
