WWE NXT has experienced significant roster turnover throughout 2026, with Lola Vice becoming the latest departure as she moves to Monday Night Raw.
Despite these losses, the brand has also brought in fresh talent from the free agent market and its own developmental system.
Here are two potential new WWE NXT signings who could arrive imminently:
Richard Holliday
Several rumored WWE NXT signings have materialized this year, most notably Cruz Montana and Zilla Fatu.
However, one name that has yet to appear in WWE — despite genuine interest from the company — is Richard Holliday.
The 33-year-old has been a prominent figure on the North American independent circuit over the past decade, with his work in Major League Wrestling alongside MJF and Alexander Hammerstone representing his most notable run.
A WWE tryout in February fueled speculation, and rumors intensified when Holliday appeared to bid farewell to GCW at a July event and teased an announcement during WWE NXT Heatwave weekend.
That announcement ultimately turned out to be a joke, and no further reports have confirmed whether he will join WWE.
Nonetheless, a signing still seems very possible, and we could see him make his first appearance on WWE NXT television soon.
Anthony Bowens
Unlike Richard Holliday, Anthony Bowens is not yet a free agent. The former AEW World Tag Team and Trios Champion remains under contract with Tony Khan until October.
Since Fightful’s report revealing Bowens’ expiring contract, no updates have emerged regarding negotiations for a new deal.
What has been reported is that WWE has “at least some interest” in signing Bowens should he become available.
Despite his tag team success as half of The Acclaimed, Bowens possesses untapped potential as a singles competitor. The 35-year-old brings elite in-ring ability and strong microphone skills to the table.
At his age, NXT would serve as the ideal starting point within WWE before potentially transitioning to Raw or SmackDown down the line.
WWE could also explore bringing in Bowens’ former tag team partner Max Caster, whose contract is likewise reportedly expiring in October. However, as of now, there is no indication that WWE is interested in acquiring The Acclaimed as a package deal.
