Darby Allin stunned the wrestling community when he captured his first AEW World Championship, even though his reign was relatively brief.
During AEW Dynamite Spring Break earlier this year, Allin secured the title by defeating MJF in a lightning-fast match. Following several successful title defenses, Allin eventually lost the championship back to MJF.
After a 39-day reign that concluded at AEW Double or Nothing, Allin remains entirely satisfied with his time at the top. Despite the brevity of the championship run, he maintains a positive outlook on the experience.
“I have no regrets with that. I was burning the candle at both ends, but I have no regrets at all because you live by the sword, you die by the sword.
“So a short and sweet championship run, that’s my motto in life. You just got to bring it, man. But I honestly have no regrets. I would not change a single thing,” Allin remarked during his guest appearance on The Mark Hoke Show.
Allin is currently engaged in a high-stakes rivalry with TNT Champion Kevin Knight, having already secured a match against him for AEW All In London 2026.
