Electronic Arts is introducing 25 classic PC titles on Steam, featuring Anniversary Editions of the motorcycle racer Road Rash and six Wing Commander titles. These re-releases maintain the original visual style, gameplay feel, and creative intent while adding quality‑of‑life improvements for modern hardware, refined controls, and enhanced performance.
The seven new editions were prompted by the uncovering of a physical media vault containing thousands of Betacam, VHS, and D1 tapes along with other archival assets, according to EA. During digitization, the company recovered master full‑motion video sequences and re‑edited them to restore over 1,500 scenes. The updated Wing Commander games also now officially support selected community‑made modifications.
The Road Rash and Wing Commander Anniversary editions are priced at $9.99 each, while the other classic titles, such as Ultima and Crusader, are offered at $4.99. All titles are available for purchase on Steam, GOG, and the EA App.
