Eric Stonestreet reflected on attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s intimate wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden, emphasizing the couple’s ability to maintain personal authenticity despite the event’s high-profile nature. The “Modern Family” actor, who attended with wife Lindsay Schweitzer, highlighted their conscious effort to honor the couple’s privacy.
“It was remarkable,” Stonestreet said. “I think you’ve read everything that there is to be said about it.” He noted that while the venue was grand, the focus remained on the couple’s celebration of love.
Stonestreet emphasized the importance of respecting the couple’s boundaries. “We were very mindful of their privacy,” he said. “Once others began sharing their experiences, we felt proud to be part of such a meaningful occasion.”
He attributed his invitation to his long-standing connection with Swift, including presenting her with the Favorite Country Female Artist award at the 2012 American Music Awards, as well as his family’s admiration for Kelce. “We’ve followed Travis throughout his career and were thrilled to celebrate their relationship with them and a small group of loved ones,” he said.
Stonestreet praised the couple’s thoughtful approach to the wedding. “They created a space where they could enjoy the normalcy they deserve,” he remarked. “Despite the grand setting, it felt like a private moment surrounded by safety and genuine joy.”
The ceremony, held on July 3, featured close family members in key roles—Swift’s brother Austin as “man of honor” and Kelce’s brother Jason as best man. Adam Sandler officiated, offering heartfelt advice: “Kiss every chance you have, every day.”
