On Wednesday, EVgo Inc. (EVGO) announced that it is expanding its partnership with Regency Centers Corporation (REG) to open more than 400 electric‑vehicle charging stations across the United States.
When completed, the new EVgo stations are projected to increase Regency’s EV infrastructure footprint by over 20%.
EVgo installed its first charger at a Regency shopping center in 2020 and now operates more than 150 charging stalls at Regency properties. These sites are strategically located in high‑traffic areas near major grocery stores and retailers.
The new EVgo chargers will be installed at retail centers in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and additional states.
On the Nasdaq, EVgo shares traded 2.48% lower at $1.3750, while Regency shares fell 0.75% to $75.36.
