Ferrari has introduced a special‑edition black racing suit that Charles Leclerc will don at next month’s Singapore Grand Prix.
Departing from Ferrari’s classic red with white detailing, Leclerc’s custom suit is predominantly black, evoking a night‑time ambience under Singapore’s lights. The team has also announced a limited‑edition cap for fans, slated for release on 5 October.
Reactions on social media have been mixed; some observers called the look “fire,” while others expressed confusion over its selection for Singapore. One Reddit user remarked, “Nice, I have no idea why they’re doing it but… nice,” and another commented, “The Dark Leclerc era has arrived.”
Additional commentary included wishes for a contrasting all‑white suit under the night lights, and criticism of the HP logo’s placement, which some found out of place. Others noted that the night‑time event mitigates the heat of daytime practice, and suggested Ferrari concentrate on core racing fundamentals rather than special suits and helmets.
Leclerc is currently fifth in the drivers’ championship with 167 points, trailing championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 125 points and his teammate Lewis Hamilton by 24 points.
The Singapore Grand Prix is scheduled for 9–11 October at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Following that, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will occur from 24–26 September, and the Bahrain Grand Prix will be held in Bahrain from 2–4 October.
