According to an official statement from the IDF, five Israeli soldiers sustained injuries on Wednesday following a Hezbollah drone strike in southern Lebanon.
Hebrew media reports indicate that the incident occurred around 6:00 AM, when an explosive drone detonated in the vicinity of a Givati Brigade Combat Team tank.
The initial blast caused shrapnel injuries to four soldiers, who were immediately moved to an evacuation vehicle. Shortly thereafter, a second explosive drone struck the transport vehicle, injuring a fifth soldier.
The first four soldiers were successfully transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The fifth soldier, who was injured during the evacuation process, was airlifted via helicopter to receive care.
The families of the wounded service members have been notified.
