On Monday, September 14, 2026, the Ghanaian Cedi experienced a slight depreciation against the US dollar, marking a modest shift from the rates recorded on Friday.

According to market data, the currency recorded an average buying rate of GHS11.63, representing a decline of seven pesewas, and a selling rate of GHS11.96, which showed a four-pesewas appreciation compared to the previous trading session.

At forex bureaus, the Cedi was trading at GHS11.85 for dollar purchases and GHS12.20 for dollar sales. These figures are sourced from Cedirates.com, a trusted Ghanaian platform dedicated to tracking daily currency and fuel rates.

On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the Cedi was quoted at GHS11.46 for buying and GHS11.47 for selling.

Regarding other major currencies, the British pound traded at an average forex bureau rate of GHS15.38 for buying and GHS16.35 for selling, while the Bank of Ghana’s interbank rate for the pound stood at GHS15.51.

The Euro was similarly trading at GHS13.19 for buying and GHS14.04 for selling at forex bureaus, with an interbank rate of GHS13.31.

In the remittance and money transfer sector, LemFi and Taptap Send both offered a rate of GHS11.47 for US dollar transfers to Ghana.

For British pound remittances, LemFi and Taptap Send quoted rates of GHS15.52 and GHS15.51, respectively.

For Euro transfers, Taptap Send and LemFi provided rates of GHS13.32 and GHS13.34, respectively.

Additionally, digital subscription payments for services like Netflix, Spotify, and Apple Music processed via Visa and Mastercard were pegged at an exchange rate of GHS12.33.
