Google Unveils Pixel 11 Pro Fold with Enhanced Durability and Superior Display Brightness

While Samsung continues to experiment with bold new form factors, Google is sticking to a proven blueprint with the unveiling of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. While the exterior remains largely unchanged, the company claims the new foldable is both lighter and more durable than its predecessor, though these refinements come with a higher price tag.

Key hardware improvements include a newly engineered, more robust hinge and the integration of a Super Actua outer display capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. According to Google, both the internal and external screens are now 20% brighter than those on the previous model.

To achieve a sleeker profile, Google has reduced the battery capacity to 4,750 mAh, down from last year’s 5,015 mAh. This trade-off has allowed the device to become 1mm thinner and approximately 20 grams lighter.

Charging capabilities have also seen a slight bump, with the device now supporting 25W wireless charging.

On the photography front, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold features an upgraded 48-megapixel sensor designed to capture more light for improved detail across various environments. Combined with the new Tensor G6 chip and an enhanced image processor, the phone now supports 30x digital zoom, a significant increase from the previous 20x limit.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be available in Obsidian and Olive, with a retail price of $1,899.
