Harry Styles received a gold Blue Peter badge during a special segment on the children’s program, celebrating his milestone achievement at Wembley Stadium.
The ‘As It Was’ singer secured the record for longest musician residency at Wembley with his 12th consecutive performance on July 4. Blue Peter presenter Shini Muthukrishnan presented the gold badge, which is awarded for exceptional contributions.
Historically granted to notable figures like Queen Elizabeth II, Steven Spielberg, and Sir Paul McCartney, the gold edition recognizes outstanding impact. Styles afterward expressed his surprise and pride in an official BBC statement: “I grew up watching Blue Peter and never imagined receiving this… This might be my proudest moment.” He also shared well-wishes for viewers, urging them to “keep dreaming and treat people with kindness.”
McCartney, who received his gold badge in 2019, echoed Styles’ enthusiasm, stating, “That’s beautiful—I’ll wear it with pride!” The July 1 performance also incorporated a Pride celebration with drag acts and a heartfelt message from Styles’ sister, Gemma.
Coinciding with England’s World Cup victory over DR Congo, Styles was seen celebrating Harry Kane’s goal, adding to the joyous atmosphere of his record-breaking tour.
