On the opening night of his 30‑show residency at Madison Square Garden, Harry Styles honored Dolly Parton and, toward the end of Saturday’s performance, gave a shout‑out to his former girlfriend Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce.
He told the crowd, “We’re at Madison Square Garden, home of the world‑champion New York Knicks!” before adding, “And they also host weddings.”
Styles dated Swift from November 2012 to January 2013 and inspired her 2014 hit “Style.” Variety reported that he had received an invitation to Swift’s July 3 wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, but sources said he was unable to attend due to his tour schedule. His fiancée, Zoe Kravitz, did attend the celebrity‑filled ceremony.
There seems to be no lingering animosity between the former couple. During his Wembley residency on July 3, Styles gave a playful nod to Swift’s wedding by performing “Two Ghosts,” a track thought to be his answer to her song “Style,” singing: “Same lips red, same eyes blue / Same white shirt, a few more tattoos.”
