Miami has endured an inconsistent start to the 2026-27 season, entering Thursday with a 2-5 record. Giannis Antetokounmpo has spearheaded the Heat’s offense, averaging 28.4 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. While Miami has shown flashes of offensive promise with victories over the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers, defensive issues have stalled their momentum. The Heat must perform well on both ends to compete with a surging Golden State squad.
The Warriors have won five consecutive games, improving to 5-3 after a 116-113 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg has emerged as a key contributor, posting a career-high 37 points against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. Golden State has also excelled from three-point range, shooting nearly 39% from beyond the arc this season. Thursday’s game tips off at 10:00 PM ET on NBA TV.
