Anushka Sharma will lead the India A women’s T20 side while Yastika Bhatia has been appointed captain of both the one‑day and five‑day squads for the upcoming home series against Australia A. Sharma, aged 23, previously captained the India A T20 team to a 2‑1 victory over England A in June and will serve as Bhatia’s deputy in the longer formats. The T20 squad features two seam‑bowling all‑rounders, Jintimani Kalita and Simran Bahadur, and is completed by a mix of experienced campaigners and emerging talent. Former India Under‑19 captain Niki Prasad secured a place in all three squads after recently guiding Hubli Tigers to the Maharani T20 title. Six‑teen‑year‑old Deeya Yadav, who has played for Delhi Capitals in the WPL and featured in two T20s against England A, was omitted from the Australia A series. Harleen Deol is absent from the one‑day squad following her captaincy on the UK tour, while left‑arm wrist‑spin all‑rounder Amandeep Kaur earned her maiden India A call‑up, selected only for the one‑day team. Shubha Satheesh, a two‑Test veteran for India, has been included in the five‑day squad. The venues are set: New Chandigarh will host the three T20 matches on 12, 15 and 17 September, while the PCA Stadium in Mohali will stage the three one‑day games on 20, 23 and 25 September.
