Jamie T made his highly anticipated return to the live stage on Thursday (August 20) with a last-minute, intimate gig at London’s Scala, marking the occasion with a full-scale 2026 UK tour announcement. Here is a look at what went down and the full tour details.
The show was announced just last week, with tickets reportedly selling out within minutes. The performance marked the musician’s first live appearance in almost exactly two years, following his 2024 set at Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival.
As Jamie T – full name Jamie Treays – walked out on stage with his band at 8:30 PM, he was met with enthusiastic chants from the crowd of “Jamie, Jamie, Jamie fucking T!”. The chant echoed throughout the venue at several points during the set, including as the artist took his final bow.
The performance took place just days after Treays officially announced details of his highly anticipated sixth album, ‘Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning)’, previewing select tracks from the new record live. ‘Waist 36″ Leg 32″‘ was presented as the second song of the night, showcasing a punky energy with a rousing chorus. The only other new track played during the set was ‘3310’, the lead single from the upcoming album.
Treays drew evenly from his five previously released albums, delivering versions of ‘The Theory Of Whatever”s ‘The Old Style Raiders’ and ’90s Cars’ early in the 85-minute set. ‘Rabbit Hole’, taken from his 2014 album ‘Carry On The Grudge’, sparked the night’s first moshpit, with pint cups flying through the air as the chorus struck. Meanwhile, the opening note of ‘Salvador’ from ‘Panic Prevention’ prompted the crowd to erupt in a chant of “Ooh! Aah!“, prompting Treays to joke, “That’s what I hear when I go to sleep.”
Early in the track, however, Treays realized he had been singing the wrong lyrics and restarted the song. “I worked it out – it was your fucking fault with the ‘ooh! Aah’!” he laughed.
Before launching into ‘Salvador’, Treays took a moment to reflect on his personal history with the venue. “This is the venue I first played with the band in 2006,” he told the crowd. “It’s lovely to see you all back, and it’s lovely to be back.”
Sandwiched between ‘The Man’s Machine’ and ‘Dragon Bones’, Treays performed ‘Thank You’ from ‘The Theory Of Whatever’, noting that he had “never really played it live before,” adding that it was co-written “with a good friend of mine, Mr. Matt Maltese.”
After a short break, he returned to the stage for a five-song encore that kicked off with ‘3310’ before Treays picked up an acoustic bass for ‘Back In The Game’. The final three songs took the already sweaty venue to even higher temperatures, with ‘Sheila’ prompting the loudest and rowdiest sing-along of the night.
Treays then introduced a special guest to the stage, bringing out The Maccabees’ Hugo White – a longtime collaborator of Treays’ – to play guitar on ‘Sticks N’ Stones’ and ‘Zombies’. Before the former, his host led the crowd in chanting White’s first name before jokingly commenting: “Let’s see if he knows this tune.”
“Have a good night, everyone,” Treays said as the show wrapped up. “This has been great. I’ll see you again soon.”

A press release described the album as a “collection of former ghosts (of ideas) brought to life during a difficult time in his life.”
Earlier this year, Treays’ 2023 track ‘Hippodrome’ was sampled by Fred Again.. on his single ‘Lights Burn Dimmer’. The pair performed the track live at a gig at London’s Alexandra Palace, which was one of the producer’s ’10 Shows in 10 Weeks in 10 Cities’ series.
