Former Leicester City and England forward Jamie Vardy has agreed to a short‑term contract with Burnley running until the end of the season.
The 39‑year‑old, Leicester City’s all‑time Premier League top scorer with 145 goals, left for Italian side Cremonese in 2025.
After departing Cremonese this summer, Vardy has signed with Burnley, the Championship side currently winless and sitting at the bottom of the table.

Vardy, who earned 26 England caps and scored seven goals, spent 13 seasons at Leicester after joining from non‑league Fleetwood Town in 2012.
During his time at the club he amassed 200 goals across all competitions in 500 appearances.
Burnley, who were relegated from the Premier League last campaign, have endured a difficult start to life in the Championship, failing to win in their first five matches under head coach Nicky Hayen.
On Saturday they surrendered two goals in the closing ten minutes, going down 2‑1 at home to Bristol City.
