Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin is poised to return to his role at Tannadice following an enforced medical absence.
The 44-year-old was admitted to hospital at the end of August due to an undisclosed condition, before being discharged and returning home on 1 September.
United face St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, and Goodwin is expected to fulfill his pre-match media responsibilities on Friday.
The Irishman was present in the stands for last month’s draw with Falkirk, though assistant manager Lee Sharp took charge of first-team affairs in his absence.
Sharp has recorded one win, one defeat and one draw across three Scottish Premiership matches since Goodwin stepped away.
