Giants coach John Harbaugh shared some lighthearted commentary regarding running back Cam Skattebo following a failed backflip attempt at Fanatics Fest last week.
During an appearance on the “Bleav in Giants” podcast with Bob Papa and Carl Banks, Harbaugh addressed the viral clip, jokingly telling Skattebo that if he is going to attempt such a move, “at least stick it.”
“My reaction when I saw it on my phone? My reaction was – I haven’t talked to him yet, I’m going to talk to him, I’m sure – my reaction was this: Dude, at least stick,” Harbaugh said.
“Land the thing if you’re going to do it.”
Skattebo is currently working his way back from a severe dislocated ankle suffered in October 2025, an injury that ended his season and necessitated a long recovery period.
While the stunt was unsuccessful, his ability to attempt such a feat suggests he is physically progressing well as he prepares for training camp.
“Skat’s going to be ready to go,” Harbaugh said. “He’s been working super hard. He’s really been training like crazy. His mind is on camp. He’s healthy. He’s ready to roll, and I can’t wait to see him at practice.”
Harbaugh’s training sessions are known for their extreme intensity, a fact previously noted by former Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers.
Skattebo faces the challenge of proving his durability over a full season following the injury that disrupted his promising rookie campaign.
The Arizona State alumnus appeared in only eight games last season, accumulating 410 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, along with 207 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 24 receptions.
