Justin Vernon Creates Jingle for Minnesota’s Howard’s Bar to Promote Meatloaf Dippers

Justin Vernon continues to nurture his Upper Midwest roots, having established the April Base studio, revived the Eaux Claires festival in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and partnered with the Minnesota Lynx. His latest endeavor, however, may be his most charming collaboration yet.

Pitchfork reports that Vernon penned and recorded a jingle for Howard’s Bar in Stillwater, Minnesota. The song promotes the establishment’s meatloaf dippers, which can be enjoyed as a main course or an appetizer. “Meatloaf dippers / At Howard’s in Stillwater / Meatloaf dippers / Can be a whole meal or a starter,” Vernon croons in a relaxed falsetto, “Meatloaf dippers / Oh so light and yummy / Come on and warm your tummy / With dippers.”

The jingle is featured in a promotional video that employs retro animation reminiscent of the classic Rankin/Bass *Frosty the Snowman* style. The spot can be viewed below.
