[Leicestershire Secure Wicketkeeper Josh Blake From Surrey]
Leicestershire have secured forward player Josh Blake from Surrey under a two‑year contract.
The 28‑year‑old spent four seasons at Surrey, having joined the club at age nine and later worked as a community coach for another four years while pursuing his first professional contract.
His move arrived in 2022, the same year he earned a List A debut for the team; his first County Championship outing came in 2024.
Blake noted that departing Surrey represented a “big decision,” yet views Leicestershire as a new chapter in a career that includes stints in the Surrey Championship and in the Australian side Sydney Shires to prove his worth.
