[Celebrating Sixty Years of Lesotho’s Independence]
On behalf of the United States, I extend heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Letsie III and the citizens of Lesotho as you commemorate sixty years of independence.
This landmark anniversary provides an opportunity to reaffirm the strong partnership between our two nations. The United States continues to strengthen commercial relations through strategic investments such as Convalt Energy’s $6.2 billion hydropower and data‑centre initiative, while also advancing joint efforts in health and security cooperation.
Warm regards, on behalf of the American people, I wish you continued prosperity, stability, and success during this remarkable milestone.
