LONDON — Two individuals were convicted on Monday of orchestrating a plot from the previous year to ignite fires at two residential properties and a vehicle connected to Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Roman Lavrynovych, a 22‑year‑old Ukrainian national, and Stanislav Carpiuc, a 27‑year‑old Romanian citizen, were found guilty of conspiring to damage property through arson. Petro Pochynok, aged 35, was acquitted of the charges.
The arson incidents in May 2025 damaged the residence that Starmer vacated after assuming office, as well as an apartment building in which he held a stake, and destroyed his former Toyota SUV. No injuries were reported among occupants.
