After a stretch of limited success since relocating to Las Vegas in 2020, the Raiders have turned a corner, entering Sunday’s contest against the 3‑0 Kansas City Chiefs with a 3‑0 record of their own. Maxx Crosby emphasized that the team must now demonstrate what Allegiant Stadium can offer as a true home‑field advantage.
Unlike the deep‑rooted fan bases in Oakland and Los Angeles—where the Black Hole’s intensity was legendary—Crosby pointed out that Vegas supporters have yet to fully embrace the franchise. He said the Raiders will need to earn that backing.
“We’re gonna need the fans at full effect, and that’s all season,” Crosby said. “We have to earn our stadium, and having the fans here. In Oakland it’s built in, fans are going to show up, it’s going to be Silver and Black. L.A. is the same thing. But Vegas is a different type of city. We’re new to this city and we have to win. The fans come out, they want to see a winner. We have to earn that.”
Crosby believes that on‑field success will naturally generate fan enthusiasm. “We take it one day at a time and keep earning the respect, and love and passion for the fans. We know the fans have it, to fill that stadium every Sunday with Silver and Black, we’ve got to continue winning and keep putting a great product out there for the fans,” he added.
A victory over the Chiefs would mark a pivotal moment, convincing many Las Vegas fans that the Raiders belong in their city.
