Morrissey has abruptly canceled his four‑night Las Vegas residency at The Wynn, just seven days before the first show, Rolling Stone reports. The former Smiths frontman said the cancellation was due to “unforeseen logistical issues.”
Morrissey was scheduled to perform four shows at The Wynn’s Encore Theater beginning August 14. Ticket holders received an email on Friday notifying them that all four nights had been canceled, with no further explanation beyond the reference to unspecified logistical issues.
The cancellation notice read: “Hello, we regret to inform you that Morrissey – Live in Concert, scheduled for August 14, 15, 18, and 19 at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, has been canceled. Due to unforeseen logistical issues, the scheduled Las Vegas residency cannot take place.”
The residency has been removed from The Wynn’s website, and Ticketmaster now lists the event as canceled. Morrissey’s own site also had the shows posted earlier on Saturday but they have since been taken down. The singer’s forthcoming appearances include September 19 at Chicago’s Riot Fest, September 22 at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre in Buffalo, N.Y., and September 26 at Brooklyn’s CBGB Festival.
Rolling Stone noted that Morrissey has frequently canceled shows, with 22 cancellations and 10 postponements recorded in 2025 alone. Past explanations for similar disruptions have ranged from “reasons completely beyond our control” to “sleep deprivation” and “adverse reaction to a prescription medication.”
Morrissey’s most recent concert took place on August 1 in Portugal.
