July 23, 2026 (MLN): Nestlé Pakistan Limited (PSX: NESTLE) will join a proposed global joint venture named Peranel, established by its parent company Nestlé S.A. and Platinum Equity. The partnership will focus on Nestlé’s waters and premium beverages portfolio.
The transaction, pending employee consultation and regulatory clearances, is anticipated to finalize by mid-2027.
Peranel will consolidate Nestlé’s global waters and premium beverages operations, encompassing over 30 brands marketed in 120 countries.
This portfolio features premium natural mineral water brands like S.Pellegrino, Source Perrier, and Acqua Panna, along with functional hydration drinks under the Nestlé Pure Life line and several key local water brands.
The new entity will be headquartered in Paris, with Muriel Lienau, currently leading Nestlé’s waters and premium beverages division, serving as its CEO.
Nestlé Pakistan’s water operations are integrated into this global restructuring.
However, the transaction’s implementation in Pakistan depends on finalizing agreements and securing corporate and regulatory approvals. For now, Nestlé Pakistan plans to establish a local entity only.
Further details will be communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange if significant developments occur.
