A key figure in the 9/11 families’ lawsuit had significant connections to Saudi government officials and was seen paintballing with a future al‑Qaeda leader, according to newly released BBC footage.

The newly uncovered material contradicts Omar al‑Bayoumi’s two‑and‑a‑half‑decade claim that he was neither an extremist nor a Saudi operative.

The footage is part of a broader legal case accusing Saudi Arabia of complicity, alleging that al‑Bayoumi assisted two of the hijackers.

Neither al‑Bayoumi nor the Saudi government responded to BBC inquiries, and the FBI also declined to comment.
