Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning, have re-signed rookie forward Connor Eddy to a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Eddy returned to the Solar Bears for his first full professional season following an amateur tryout with Orlando in March. In 12 games with the club, the Victoria, British Columbia native recorded three points (1 goal, 2 assists).
The 24-year-old spent four seasons playing college hockey, beginning at Northern Michigan University from 2022 to 2024 and concluding his career at UMass-Lowell from 2024 to 2026. Across 137 career games, he tallied 41 points (19 goals, 22 assists) and accumulated 132 penalty minutes.
Eddy also played his junior hockey with the Victoria Grizzlies of the British Columbia Hockey League, logging 104 games over three seasons. His 2021-22 campaign was a breakout, where he scored 57 of his 80 career points that season.
